Ep. 24: “good podcast” w/ Bobby Whyte

In episode 24, I’m joined by the one & only Bobby Whyte! Bobby is the owner of HyPower Performance and the creator of Good Drills - delivering skill development & strength and conditioning training to hoopers all around the world.

We start off the conversation by talking about his Good Drills program and how that has evolved over the years. Bobby’s goal with the program is to help athletes become effortless athletes, self-reliant problem solvers and efficient movers on and off the basketball court.

We also dive in to Bobby’s background story and the adversity he’s overcome to become the successful business owner that we know today. There are a lot of life lessons in this segment that are valuable takeaways no matter if you’re an athlete or not.

The rest of the podcast is centered around Bobby’s outlook on training - a constraint-lead approach. We discuss what that working definition is, how we can apply it to our athletes and variables to change to help athletes progress & grow.

This is a fun conversation full of gems to apply to your own coaching and training. If you want to catch up with Bobby, find him on Instagram and branch out to all of his resources from there!
